URINE positives(lab)

THC Positives

High levels of THC from chronic usage may take months to come out of the urine.  If you need to show someone is not currently using but keep testing positive, they should be tested weekly to create a Creatinine & THC ratio or have Saliva drug screen performed as THC does not last more than a few days in Saliva.

PEth Anchor

PEth levels
Blood Alcohol

PETH:

  • PEth level < 20 ng/mL denotes abstinence or very low alcohol consumption in the past month.

  • PEth level ~ 20–35 ng/mL denotes low or occasional alcohol consumption in the past month.

  • PEth level ~ 35–210 ng/mL denotes social or moderate/significant alcohol consumption in the past month.

  • PEth level > 210 ng/mL denotes excessive alcohol consumption in the past month.

PEth level > 500 ng/mL is listed as the Upper limit of quantitation by the laboratory.

Phosphatidylethanol (PEth) is a mid-to-long-term alcohol biomarker created in red blood cells, where it exists as part of the cell membrane. We offer PEth testing in dried blood spots and whole blood (venipuncture). PEth may be detected in blood for approximately 2 - 4 weeks. However, there may be isolated circumstances where PEth may be detected at 6 weeks or more.
